Paramus Surgical Center in Paramus, NJ is the latest Covenant Surgical Partner facility to go live on Amkai Charts. Paramus is the first limited specialty center to go live on the Amkai Electronic Medical Record. PSC is licensed to perform a variety of procedures including GI, Pain Management, Orthopedic as well as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Valley Surgery Center in Evansville, IN becomes the latest Covenant Surgical Partner and the first Ophthalmology center to go live with the Amkai Charts Operative Report. The implementation of this functionality completes the Electronic Medical Record documentation within the center, creates efficiencies in the billing department and enhances the ability for Covenant and the Center to report on quality clinical outcomes.
The results of the latest Covenant Surgical Partners Patient Satisfaction Survey are in. With a response rate of 30% (which is well above the industry standard) 99% of patients surveyed would refer a friend or relative to a Covenant center. The survey consisted of 11 survey questions related to various topics ranging from the cleanliness and comfort of the facility to the confidence and trust they have in their physician. Compared to 2011 survey results, more patients rated their experience as Excellent in 10 of the 11 categories.
Gateway Surgery Center becomes the latest Covenant Surgical Partner to go live on the Amkai Charts EMR system. Located in Edwardsville, PA Gateway Surgery Center is the latest Covenant Center to go live on the GI Template within Amkai Charts.

Wartburg Surgery Center becomes the latest Covenant Surgical Partner to go live on the Amkai Charts EMR system. Located in Wartburg, Tennessee, Wartburg Surgery Center is the first Covenant Center to go live on the Pain Template within Amkai Charts.
May 16 – Covenant Community Pain Solutions opens its first program in partnership with Wayne County Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee. Wayne Community Pain Solutions went live on May 16 with all core clinical and financial Covenant Systems.
May 11 – The Advanced Endoscopy and Pain Center in Lancaster, California is the latest surgery center to become associated with Covenant Surgical Partners. Advanced Endoscopy is Covenant’s fourth location in California and second in Southern California.
Valley Surgery Center is speeding the charting process for its patients. The reason is the use of electronic medical records. There are a number of benefits associated with using electronic medical records. They include:

- A comprehensive electronic chart that includes a summary cover page, history, medications and vitals summaries, correspondence, images, outcomes and statistics, plus much more

At the Covenant Surgical Partner’s managers meeting, leadership from all our centers came together to share ideas and be creative in problem solving areas that each one of them has had to address in their facilities. The meeting also was used to recognize and focus on accomplishments and share related information and insight.
Topics included discussions on best practices, patient safety and improving patient satisfaction. There was also a seminar on how to help ASCs perform at optimum efficiency and quality.
